Winery review: Very dark purple, with a reddish-violet edge, typical of this grape. Black plums, a hint of licorice and subtle spice, not overly complex but appealing. A big mouth full of juicy black fruit is well structured by tart and soft but distinct tannins. (02/21/2013- Vintage Cellar, Blacksburg, VA)
My review:This red wine was very dark in color. It had a strawberry nose as well. It tasted very dry at first but then I really started to like the wine as I took more sips. I would consider buying this wine in the future. I did not have any food with this wine tasting.
